Karmuka Yoga Foundations Course Online & In-Studio
Pain is often the result of a lack of SPACE. This lack of space within the bio-mechanical system is usually due to HARMFUL HABITUAL MOVEMENTS that cause misalignment along the 6 arches of the skeletal structure. Besides being responsible for physical pain and discomfort, these misalignments create hypextension in the joints and inefficient BREATH PATTERNS that result in poor oxygen intake, an overactive sympathetic nervous system and high levels of cortisol and adrenaline.
The Karmuka Yoga Foundations Course Online or In-Studio is the perfect Yoga class for beginners pain relief, posture correction or any interested in applying Yoga to therapy and recovery. With personal and precise instruction, this course addresses and relieves these root causes of pain, discomfort and stress. The course combines concepts from ´the most effective form of stretching´, the work of Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) along with Yoga therapy methods focused on kinetic education, the alignment of Yoga Postures (Asana) and breath connection.

Course structure
The Karmuka Yoga Foundations Course Online is a therapeutic course as well as a perfect Yoga for beginners course that enables students to feel the healing results of Yoga postures (asana) quickly and effectively.
Students weekly routines focus on the following:
1
Hips and legs
2
Iliacus/Psoas & Lower spine
3
Neck & shoulders
4
Feet
Feet are the base of our posture. Problems in the feet result in problems all the way up the movement chain into the knees, hips, spine and even up into the shoulders, neck and skull. Poor foot posture can result in hyperextension, reduced lung capacity, digestion issues, inflammation and scoliosis. In this course students will gain a strong kinetic education on how to correct and implement healthy foot posture in their Yoga practice and everyday life.
5
Deep core
Deep core strength is fundamental to stable, pain free movement. It is a common error to focus only on superficial strength (six pack abs) and/or doing exercises that compress the area of the abdominal muscles rather than strengthening them in extension. This compression results in lower back and neck pain. Students of this course will experience how to strengthen the deep core postural muscles in extension to move with greater stability and avoid tension in the neck, shoulders and lower spine.
