Book your private Yoga Therapy session

A therapeutic yoga session or a private yoga class is the most effective way to learn the self-healing work of Karmuka Yoga. The therapeutic yoga techniques researched by Dr. Peter Levine (Somatic Experience), B.K.S. Iyengar, the Paramanand Institute of Yoga and Science Research, and great masters such as Yamuna Zake and Swami Vivekananda are integrated to release and realign the skeletal system and fascia, improve breathing and digestion, resulting in a calmer nervous system and a clearer mind.

In a therapeutic yoga session or a private yoga class, the instructor assesses each student’s individual needs and adapts the practice accordingly. Her positive approach and personalized attention in both therapy yoga sessions and private yoga classes facilitate a noticeable improvement in posture, breathing—especially beneficial for post-Covid recovery—joint stability, sleep quality, mood, and increased mental focus, flexibility, and strength.

YOGA THERAPY

It's a matter of space

Karmuka Yoga uses various methodologies to adapt yoga postures to each student’s abilities. The postures are modified to optimize the foundation of the six arches in the skeletal structure. With various support and perception tools, in a private Karmuka Yoga session, the yoga postures and Yamuna Body Rolling routines are precisely tailored to each student’s physical and psychological needs. After one session, students will notice a significant improvement in posture, breathing, joint stability, and increased flexibility and strength.

yamuna body rolling

Starting the work from the bone

Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) begins working from the bone, using the pressure of a ball and traction to release blockages, strengthen bone structure, and facilitate healing. The emphasis is on education, and the ball guides the body through this process. Yamuna Foot Fitness recognizes that our feet are our foundation and affect the entire body. Problems in the knees and hips often begin in the feet. Using Foot Wakers and Foot Savers, Foot Fitness training teaches you how to retrain your feet to better support your body when standing and how to use your entire foot when walking. Many foot problems, such as neuromas, bunions, hammer toes, and plantar fasciitis, can be prevented or improved with regular practice.

TREATMENTS

Therapeutic Methodology

Karmuka Yoga harmoniously integrates the precision and focus on alignment of B.K.S. Iyengar yoga with the therapeutic principles of Critical Alignment. Its teaching is based on the conscious use of props, detailed observation of the body, and deep attention to postural structure. Through slow, intentional movements, it guides students to release accumulated tension, restore spinal mobility, and reconnect with more natural and efficient movement patterns. This combination offers a transformative practice that not only strengthens the body but also cultivates mindfulness and inner balance.
